Prancing Leopard Organics represents the sustainable alternative in contemporary casual and fitness clothing.
Prancing Leopard is always organic, protecting the environment by using organic cotton and supporting the health of the wearer without the use of chemicals (nanosilver-free, formaldehyde-free, BPA-free, organic-approved dyes).
But there is more to environmental fashion. We utilize all the options: waste reduction, re-use, up-cycle, local, easy care, simplified production, new fabrics from renewable sources. It is our goal to have a positive impact on the fashion industry and environment.
Health and movement are important for us—YES—as well as loving your body shape, no matter how thin, chubby, round, or curvy you are.
We are a small business. Our production numbers are low, which is also an environmental aspect of a fashion business (just on the edge of the standard manufacturing practices). We manufacture below or slightly above hundreds of each style, compared with millions of each style in fast fashion.
Fast fashion is an unfair trillion-dollar business. And those trillions are unfairly distributed between workers, factory owners, small businesses, corporations, and luxury fashion giants! Our purchase actions support the practices of the suppliers we choose—be they good or bad.
We as Prancing Leopard work exclusively with suppliers (mills and factories) that are extremely caring and have natural sustainability in mind. So we don't need to micro manage them or constantly research whether they are "fair"! This is our common ground. That's why we work together in the first place.
Our world has limited raw materials. it is crucial to use them carefully, with our children's and grandchildren's future in mind.
